Sum it up Saturday: #fitVEDA, Bite Size Wellness, Fresh Start Fitness and Blog Love!

For this blogger, posting on a Saturday is a rare event. But I’ve been out of town this week, missed my usual Friday post and felt the need to sum up my recent online activities. Why? to remind MYSELF of what’s been going on (summer is flying by!) and to help you catch up on anything you might have missed!

1. #fitVEDA

You’ve probably seen my Tweets and Facebook updates with links to a series of short, fitness and health-related videos. They’re all part of a YouTube challenge to Video Every Day in August. I haven’t missed a day yet! Here are my entries from this week, all filmed on Galiano Island, highlighting healthy living and breathtaking vistas! 4. Thought-provoking posts from the health and fitness blogosphere

I read a lot of blog posts (and watch a lot of YouTube videos). I love posts that make me stop and think. Posts that stay with me for the rest of the day. Here are two that resonated with me this past week.

  • It’s all about Perspective by Kristen of Following Fit. A great essay about the power of words when making healthy eating decisions. I like it so much, I’m adopting Kristen’s attitude myself!
  • Don’t Bum my Flow by Paige of Your Trainer Paige. Need a reminder to stop griping and complaining? Nobody wants to hear it and Paige tells it to you straight!
