Sum it up Saturday: why I’ve been MIA and a VEDA update

I’ve been away on holiday for the past few days (hence the lack of Tweets, Pins, Instagrams, Facebook updates and responses to your comments on my pre-scheduled posts; I’ll be catching up today!). Just a short trip down to Washington State to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge and do some hiking and caving around Mt St Helen’s. (You can see more photos from our trip over on Facebook).

I did, however, make my first three VEDA (Video Every Day in August) videos.

That’s right. I’m joining hundreds (thousands?) of other bloggers and YouTubers and rising to the challenge of creating a new video every day during the month of August.

Don’t worry; I won’t be linking all of my VEDA videos up here. If you want to follow along, make sure you’ve subscribed to my YouTube channel and are following me on Facebook.

Day 1: Great Wolf Lodge, Grand Mound, Washington.

Day 2: Ape Cave, Mt St Helen’s

Day 3: Home, my kitchen

Are you participating in VEDA?

If so, what are you hoping to gain from it?

  1. What a great pic! Have fun at Great Wolf. My kids love it there:)

    • We LOVED Great Wolf Lodge! Well, okay, the kids loved it, my hubby and I enjoyed the waterslides, but hated the room and the restaurant options… Everybody did get a great night’s sleep though! All that activity tired us out!

  2. I have to head over to your FB page to see pics!!!! No, not doing a video a day thing! I am trying to cut back from Social Media so…. plus I don’t have a way of doing that every day & I think it would drive me crazy! 😉 I will try to watch as I can! 🙂 Keep getting better!

    • Thanks for stopping by Jody! I know that social media can take a lot of time. You just need to pick and choose your favourites!

  3. I’m doing the FitVEDA challenge too, and have only found it manageable by using my iPhone for most of them! Then I get busy and neglect to let anyone know they exist! Your trip sounds so fun, truly! Even with the bad food and room.

    • I’ve only used my iPhone so far too. I like that I can upload directly to YouTube; saves the hassle of connecting to the computer (no editing, but no forgetting to upload either…).
      Loved your Day #5!
